Welcome !
Reading CC has been promoting cycling in Berkshire since 1974. With over 200 members, the club is dedicated to giving cyclists the opportunity to race, ride and enjoy life on two wheels. We have something on offer for all sporting riders, with a series of evening time trials throughout the racing season, several social rides every week along with road racing, sportives, audax and cyclo-cross. The club welcomes new members to participate in all these activities. Please browse the site to learn more about us, and don't hesitate to contact a member of the committee for further information.

Club TT 6/7 HCC175

Tuesday night was the return leg of the Inter-club with NHRC. RCC won the first leg and this was the return on the fast HCC175. For those who do not know the course there is a very fast downhill start.

Athletes 10 mile TT Championship, H10/2 29/6/2010

Tuesday night on the A4 near Maidenhead Thicket saw the "Athletes" club championship. This event is open to riders on standard road bikes. The idea been that the playing field is even so there is no advantage from expensive wheels, helmets or TT bikes.

It was a warm evening and the wind dropped during the ride.

Medium run to Hermitage - 27 June 2010

We found some cool leafy lanes to ride along today on the steady medium run to Hermitage, and managed four large-ish climbs without over-exerting ourselves. The size of the group was a comfortable dozen plus leader, but to my shame I know very few of your names since I've been out of circulation for so long. Regulars included Dr Ranjit, Mike Wheat, Eammon, and Graham Hoyle, with some irregulars identified as Glen, Toby-the-South-Australian and the venerable Ron Cutler, plus the bonus of a couple on a tandem, who put in some good work in the front.

Club 25 Champs 22/6 H25/1

On a warm night on the A4 there were some good times at the Reading CC club 25 mile championships. Our 25 mile champion is Nick English with 54:53, Stephen Bale was second with a PB of 56:32 and third was Greg Woodford with 57:09.
