Reliability Trial 2008

Sunday March 2nd was the date for the much anticipated annual Reliability Trial - moved to one week later than usual to avoid a clash with the Goring 10K run. This year featured a new, tougher course, with the start and finish moved to avoid urban areas, a loop out into Oxfordshire, and a longer distance to cover: 87km with 860 metres of climbing.

Conditions on the day were pretty good, with a strong westerly wind which taxed riders' strength in the Oxfordshire loop. The most reliable rider was officially A. Mica, who was spot on his target time. The leading few of the "Fast" ride managed to just beat the fastest group of the "Fastest" ride, which made a good day out for them.

The full results are available here, and Dennis has his usual set of excellent photos here.
