Imperial Winter Race Series, Hillingdon
Jonathan Whybrow continues getting in the race miles at Hillingdon circuit. He attended Race 8 in the Imperial Winter Series at a Hillingdon on Saturday. He said, "I was keen to build upon my season's debut the previous week. The race passed with few incidents, gathering pace as the laps remaining counted down. With half a lap to go I managed to manoeuvre myself into a great position close to the front of the peloton. I was looking forwards to scoring my first points of 2012! However, with 200m to go another rider had a mechanical incident which caused several people to go down, at least one breaking his collar bone, which forced me off the road where I lost all my speed. I managed to get back onto the tarmac and roll over the line in 18th position, still a much improved result on the previous week. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the finish."
