Club TT HCC201B *revised* 11 August '09
The event successfully went ahead after a hasty
revision of the start and finish due to a road closure into Bucklebury
village. Unfortunately not everyone got the message and local time trial
legend John Woodburn, amongst others, were seen on course having arrived at the
usual start to find it unmanned (apologies).
9 riders did start on a course approximately
600m shorter than usual starting in Bucklebury itself. Lovely conditions meant
no less than 5 riders under 40 minutes with A W Cycles rider Matt Melville
posting the fastest time of 36:57. Nick English and Steve Bale were 2nd and 3rd
respectively.
Many thanks to Dave Harrison for time keeping and
helping with the last minute arrangements. He commented that it was much more
pleasant being at the picturesque ford as opposed to alongside the motorway
traffic!
