URGENT: Club TT 11 August - course change
There is a road closure on the Bucklebury time trial circuit for tomorrow evening's race (HCC201B @ 19:00). This is a section along the Pang valley as you arrive towards Bucklebury. To avoid cancelling the event we are going to move the start and finish to either side of the road closure. So the new start and HQ will in Bucklebury itself http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&q=bucklebury+victory+hall&fb... The course will then follow the normal route so you lucky devils now have the Bladebone climb right at the start. You then complete the rest of the normal course except finishing about 600m short of where you started on the road down the Pang valley. For those that know the area the finish will be adjacent to the turn to the ford. Access between the finish and start is on the road where the ford is though there is a footbridge to save you getting wet feet!
The only real problem with this is that the HQ is further out from Reading than normal. Plus this information may not get to all via the email and the website. Please, if anyone is at a loose end between around 18:30 and 19:00 and can redirect potential riders from the usual start, under the motorway bridge north of Bradfield, then could you let me know.
This is a Dave Finch counting event, and the vets competition is still very much alive. The start may now be tough but the finish should be a heavenly blast downhill all the way from the rise out of Hermitage.
