Old School 10 mile Championship, 30/6/2009 H10/2

By steveferry - Posted on 05 July 2009

Tuesday night saw two firsts for RCC. It was the first time that I can remember a club TT on the Maidenhead Thicket course, and it was the first TT where TT bikes were not allowed. It was an even playing field, if you had invested in a TT bike or not.

The weather smiles and it was a near perfect night. Fastest on the night was club 10 and 25 Champion Paul Elcock with 23:05 and joint second was Joe Harris and Stephen Bale. Compare the times to last 10 and you will get an indication of the benefit given by a TT bike and an aero hat. Paul Elcock was just about two minutes slower.

Next week is the 'Old School' 25 starting at Aldermaston. First rider off at 7:30pm.
